Samsung to Launch Galaxy S8 Tonight

Everyone anticipated the Smartphone giant will unveil its new flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus at the Mobile World Congress which was held back in February in Barcelona. However, to everyone’s surprise, Samsung is hosting a separate event to introduce the new Smartphone models. Samsung is going to launch Galaxy S8 and S8 plus tonight in a special event. The handset will be available in two models with difference in their screen size.

So, if you have been keenly waiting for the Samsung to launch new flagship Smartphones, well the wait will be over tonight. The company is going to announce the new handset tonight i.e 29 March, 2017 at 8.30PM IST. Although the live streaming of the event is not confirmed, but there is going to be a pre-registration page where you might be asked to fill in your details to get updates.

Everyone will be eyeing on exactly what comes out of the eve apart from the launch of Galaxy S8 as holding a special event for the new handset might have some other reasons as well. Well, all the speculation surrounding the event will get cleared tonight. Coming to the Smartphone, from the hit Galaxy “S” series, the company is bringing the Galaxy S8 and almost all information about S8 is known. Samsung is going to launch two different versions of the handset, S8 and S8 Plus namely. Both the models are going to feature a curved dual-edge display along with super slim bezels on the lower and upper part. While the former will come with a 5.8 inch display, the S8 plus will feature a huge 6.2-inch display. It seems that the slim bezels will help in minimizing the overall footprint.

Samsung has worked closely with Qualcomm to build their new Snapdragon 835 chipset. The Galaxy S8 is going to be the first Smartphone to be launched with the new SoC officially. There are also speculations that an Exynos 9 powered variant will also be announced. Other features in Galaxy S8 are anticipated to be a Samsung’s home-grown AI assistant Bixby, iris scanner, and an enhanced camera that will be capable of shooting at up to a whooping 1,000 fps.

After the fiasco of Galaxy Note 7 last year, Samsung will try to regain the trust and confidence of people worldwide. Well, its early to say about the fate of S8, only time will tell how much good luck does S8 brings for the company.
